what made me laugh was that on the one hand they were arguing for green taxes to protect the environment then on the other hand saying that revenue so raised would be used to subsidise low earners, forgetting that if the green taxes do change peoples behaviour then there will be no money to subsidise low earners. so just what is that they believe in,
helping the poor or saving the planet?
This is rather like livingstones congestion charge, ostensibly it is to discourage congestion and use the revenues to subsidise public transport, although of course the more you discourage private car use the less money you have to subsidise public transport.
The idiocy of the Socialist utopian never ceases to amaze me.
