Petition o' the day

Am I missing something here?

"We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to give more Free help to persons with a learning disability at University".

And the detail:

"This is to help those struggling with finances and learning disabilities to further their education through university and to provide a cheaper easier way for those who have a learning difficulty to progress in a world in the ability to read and write are the two Most important factors in any career and life".

I believe you are implying that people with learning difficulties are unlikely to be suited to institutions of higher learning.

You terrible snob.... ;-)

Or else that higher education has changed somewhat since my day.

Comical on so many levels, Blue Eyes.

I would choose this paragraph to highlight ... "This is to help those struggling with finances and learning disabilities to further their education through university", but it would be so crool.

On the other hand, what the hell? In what fields are these graduates with learning disabilities going to prosper?

I don't think we're in Kansas any more.

A Ministry of Education folder marked Top Secrete [sic] was found on a train in Lewisham last night which contained the drafts of an announcement to be made on 17 July (if the present Minister lasts that long). Its thrust is that with effect from 1 January 2009, what were previously known as "primary schools" will be renamed as "universities". Their highest priority has been declared as "teachin pyupils to rede an rite". The delay in implementation is to allow the Ministry to identify a sufficient number of individuals within the system who possess the necessary skills.
