Would you send Harriet Harman flowers?

Too late, you already have:

Mr. Hunt: To ask the Leader of the House how much her Office has spent on (a) pot plants and (b) cut flowers in each of the last three years.

Chris Bryant: The Office of the Leader of the House of Commons spent £1,872.72 on the provision of plants and flowers during the 2007-08 financial year".

I suppose that saves 'Mr Harman' £36 a week.

As government tax revenue dries up, perhaps they might consider expanding the species of plants that they grow into something a little more 'commercial'.....

If Whitehall was converted to arable land, doubtless the country would be be better off. And there's plenty of 'fertiliser' in those parts to get things off to a head start.

Combining several threads, could we not "volunteer" the vast bulk of civil servants to till some new-found allotment soil in Whitehall and Victoria Street to help with our food imbalance?

Haven't we already acquired suitable species, Letters, by invading Afghanistan?
