Today's dose of the Pyongyang Follies

From the KCNA:

"Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave field guidance to different fields in Wonsan City".

Wonder what he suggested?

And as if the poor people of Venezuela had not suffered enough
:

"General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable" was brought out in pamphlet by the Canta Clara Publishing House of Venezuela on Apr. 15".

Wonsan. Home of the Youth Power Station. See KCNA 06.01.09. They do not explain what a "youth" power station is.

I am not sure whether to be surprised or disturbed at your tenacity in maintaining this coverage through thick and thin.

He who cocks a snook at Juche should see to it that he is not colonised by Juche himself.

The DPRK launched a satellite recently. And what is it transmitting into deep space? That's right. Revolutionary songs.

Or, indeed:

"Battle not with monsters
lest ye become a monster
and if you gaze into the abyss
the abyss gazes into you".
Maybe the youth are the power source, in a rather unfortunate variant on the old soylent green issue.
